Executive Director of Abundant Life

Brittney Barber

Our executive director is Brittney Barber. Brittney is an Amory native, graduating from Amory High School in 2010 before moving on to graduate from Mississippi State University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Clinical Exercise Physiology. Brittney married Zach Barber in 2016 and moved to Jackson, TN before returning to Amory in 2018. Shortly after returning, they had their first child, Brody, who is now 2 and they are expecting their second child in September 2022. Brittney and her family attend First Baptist Church Amory where she is highly involved in serving children and families. Brittney has several years of expertise in working with the community and in exercise, specifically in using movement and nutrition to aid the elderly and adults with disabilities. Brittney took over First Friends in 2021 with a heart and vision for assisting an under-served part of our community; she began the process of moving First Friends forward to what is now shifting into Abundant Life to provide more socialization, movement, and overall care to adults in need.

Activities Coordinator

Olivia Blassingame

Our activities coordinator is Olivia Blassingame. Olivia is also an Amory native, graduating with Brittney in 2010. Olivia went to Mississippi State University, graduating in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology before moving forward to obtain a master’s degree from Ole Miss in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Olivia married Alex Blassingame in 2014 and moved to Brandon, MS before returning to Amory in 2016. Olivia has two children, Jackson (6) and Addilyn (5), and attends First Baptist Church Amory with her family where she actively serves children, youth, and families. Olivia has spent the past three years as a mental health therapist for Lifecore at West Amory Elementary and is bringing that love for serving others and helping them feel connected, seen, heard, and loved. Both Olivia and Brittney have a heart and desire to foster growth and connection in this community!
